Strategies to learn Chinese:

  1. Practice speaking (initials, finals, vocabulary, dialogue, etc.) and writing daily.
  2. Follow the stroke orders when writing.
  3. Always check your homework (quizzes or tests) and correct the wrong ones to make sure you won’t make the same mistakes.
  4. Make flash cards and make good use of them.
  5. Make up stories about characters to help you remember them.
  6. Cluster similar characters to help you remember them.

I am really excited to start the journey of learning Mandarin Chinese with you. Chinese seems to be difficult to learn in the very beginning, but it will be getting easier for you. You will find out yourself!
