Homework: Tonight’s homework is in preparation for wrapping up the fall portion of our Scajaquada Creek project. Each person needs to complete the task below that is assigned to your group. Your writing should be in paragraph form and contain complete sentences.

 

Group 1: Text description of: How the creek flows…where does it start, where does it go, where does it eventually end up? What is a watershed? What towns and cities make up the Scajaquada Creek watershed?

 

Group 2: Text description of: a brief history of the creek. Identify and describe the location of site A. Where is it located, major streets and landmarks, what does it look like, etc.

 

Group 3: Text description of: land uses at your site, description of the riverbank evaluation at your site, % bare soil and potential for erosion at your site. What do these numbers tell us?

 

Group 4: Text description of: What is water quality? What was the average value for each water quality parameter that we tested for, would they be considered low, medium, or high? Concluding thoughts on what our results for each parameter tell us. What is the quality of our water as it pertains to each of the tests?

 

Over the next two days, each group will have tasks to complete, with the end product being one class PowerPoint presentation discussing our results from our fall work at the creek. Your work on this project will be your final grade for the fall term.
