About Me

I'm the Upper School English Liaison at Nichols; I've taught in the Department since 1997. I have a B.A. in English and Political Science from the University of Toronto and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Brooklyn College. I also did several years of postgraduate work in English, with a concentration in Poetics, at New York University.

In addition to my academic duties, I coach the Girls' Varsity Cross-Country team.

My main academic interests include:

--Seventeenth-century drama

--Lyric poetry

--Literature of the Islamic world

--Psychoanalysis

--Christian, Buddhist, and Islamic Theology

Information for Parents

I am available to students for help and conferences during any free period of the academic day, and in the formal extra help period from 3:05 to 3:50.

I generally insist that papers be submitted in hard copy, but in certain circumstances email submission may be warranted.
