How to prepare for the National Geography Bee
1. Examine a physical and cultural atlas of the world. A globe would be helpful as well. Yes, trying looking at actual paper maps and a globe!
2. Visit the following site for weekly geography quizzes: http://geography.about.com/library/quiz/blpreviss.htm
3. Try the GeoBee Challenge from National Geographic. There are five new questions each day: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geobee/
4. Sheppard Software produces some good atlas online games dealing with rivers, countries, capitals, et cetera: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm
5. You can even make maps of the US or world on: http://www.geographynetwork.com/
6. You can download and explore the Earth using Google Earth or NASA Worldwind software: http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/
