In Social Studies we investigate the Medieval world, how we got there, what it was like to live at that time, and what caused its end.  Though traditionally centered on Europe, we also recognize that there was a great deal going on all over the world at the same time.  The primary topics covered include: Geography The Norman Conquest and the Bayeux Tapestry Feudalism Castles:  Offense and Defense Castle Life Knights Peasants and Village Life Religion (Crusades, Monastery, Pilgrimage, Cathedral, Islam) Towns, Trade, and Guilds The Black Death The Peasant' Revolt
