AP European History This course, mandated by the Advanced Placement Syllabus, acquaints students with historical concepts and events in the Western world from 1450 to the present. We introduce students to cultural, economic, political, and social developments that played a fundamental role in shaping the world in which we live. Adopting a traditional thematic approach, we also stress the analysis of historical evidence and interpretation. Finally, students are trained to express their understanding of historical events in written form.[1] [1] Advanced Placement Course Description, AP European History, (apcentral. collegeboard.com, p 4.)
