Ski Club is a school related activity that is sponsored by Nichols School. Students enjoy luxury bus trips to and from Holiday Valley to ski/ride on 58 trails, 37 night trails for four to eight consecutive Friday nights in January and February 2011. Nichols School’s teachers, staff, and parent-chaperones supervise all Ski Club activities.
What is included?
● High School Students and 7th and 8th grade Ski Club includes a Pick-a-Night Friday lift pass that is valid for all Friday nights throughout the ski season at Holiday Valley, usually mid-December through March, supervised bus transportation to and from Holiday Valley for eight Friday nights, and one bonus full day lift ticket for use after March 1st. A lesson is included for Nichols Ski Club members every Friday night at 6:30.
● 5th and 6th grade Ski Club includes a 4 week lift pass valid for four Friday nights during the ski season at Holiday Valley, and supervised bus transportation to and from Holiday Valley. A lesson is included for Nichols Ski Club members every Friday night at 6:30.
What are the Dates?
• High School students and 7th / 8th grade: Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28; Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25
• 5thand 6th grade Middle School Students: Jan. 21, 28; Feb. 4, 11
What if I can’t ski/board?
No problem! Ski Club advisors and chaperones will get new skiers/boarders outfitted, oriented, and delivered into the capable hands of Ski School instructors. HV has an excellent Ski/Board school area, complete with chair lift, so that new skiers/boarders can learn in a safe and controlled area.
Are there any Options?

● Rental equipment
What about rental equipment?
● Shaped skis, boots and poles for eight trips, or all season (at additional cost).
● Snowboards and boots for eight trips, or all season (at additional cost).
● Skis/Snowboard packages are available for beginning, intermediate and expert skiers/boarders.
● Season rental equipment can also be obtained from local Ski stores: Red Door Ski Shop, Ski Sale, Buffalo Boards, to name a few.
What time do we leave?
The busses leave Nichols School at 3:30 PM
What time do we return?
The busses return to Nichols School at 11:15 PM
(Orchard Park at 10:30-10:45 PM)
Who supervises Nichols students?
● Chaperones accompany students on the busses, and many parents/ teachers ski/board to supervise. At least one chaperone has a HV-provided pager or cell phone to respond to emergency or security situations.
● Ski Club infractions are handled as Nichols School violations.
● Alcohol and drugs are never tolerated.
What about cancellations or closings?
● If there is snow at HV, we go! We will notify parents and students of changes.

How do I join?
● Students and parents complete the pink HV Lift Ticket Application, ski, board, and helmet rental (if needed).
● All forms must be submitted with check payable to Nichols School, or consent to charge your school account by Oct 23, 2010to: Nichols School.
●Payment in full assures a spot in the club, transportation, and pass.
What about Refunds?
● Until Nov. 1, 2010, refunds are handled upon written request
NO REFUNDS after Nov. 1, 2010 for Nichols School Ski Club.
What are the deadlines?
● Payment in full (by check) by October 23, 2010.
● Payment billed to student account November 1, 2010.
