How to install the FirstClass client on your PC.
As long as you have an internet connection whether it is dial-up (AOL, LocalNet, PeoplePC) or High Speed Connection (Timewarner - Cable, Verizon - DSL) you can use FirstClass Client from that PC.
Just make sure you are connected to the internet, and follow these instructions completely.

Download
and save the installation file. To download the Windows version click here. To Download the OS X version click here. Be sure to save it somewhere you will remember. |

If
you already have FirstClass installed, be sure to
completely ext out of it. Check down in the
Right Corner of your desktop, and make sure the icon is not shown. |

If
it is, Right click on it on then left click exit. |

Now
find and double click the downloaded installation file. |

Click
Next. |

Click
Yes. |

If
you do not have a previous version FirstClass
installed you should get this screen. If you have a previous version installed you may not get this screen. Just click Yes. |

Find
the FirstClass Icon on your desktop, or in you
start menu. Double click to open it. If this is your first time installing FirstClass on you PC, we need to configure (home.fc) it to connect to Nichols. Click the Triangle to the left of Advanced. |

Click the SETUP button. |

SETUP DIALOG BOX In the 'Connect via:' box select 'Internet.FCP' In the 'Server:' box type in 'mail.nicholsschool.org' Now click the 'Configure' button in the type right corner. |

Dialog Box In the 'Protocol:' box select TCP/IP Change the 'Port Number:' to TCP Default (510) Now click SAVE in the bottom right corner. Now click SAVE again in the bottom right corner of the Service Setup dialog box. |

type in your username and password. Either Press Enter or the Green Circle with the White arrow in it.
